New Delhi: WhatsApp, the instant messaging App on Wednesday evening faced outage after several users reported issues.
According to site tracking platform Downdetector, around 79 per cent of users faced issues with the instant messaging platform app, 12 per cent experienced server connection problems, while 9 per cent reported issues with sending messages.
The outage peaked around 7 PM on Wednesday and persisted until 10 PM. The trend is still continuing.
Some users took to X and reported issues with WhatsApp. One user said WhatsApp was still not working even after switching the device off and on.
Another user reported that WhatsApp was not working on their iPhone.
A third user took to X and reported issue with WhatsApp saying, “Hello @WhatsApp Facing a major #WhatsApp glitch on my iPhone! Every time I tap the icon, it just freezes on the WhatsApp launch screen, no further response. My WhatsApp is fully updated and this started when I was on iOS 18.7. Even after updating to the latest iOS, the issue persists. Anyone else?”
The above heat map shows where user-submitted problem reports with WhatsApp services like opening or launching the application or sending messages.
