Kick off winter and the start of ski season by joining Warren Miller’s SNO-CIETY.
The 76 annual tour launches October 18 with a special World Premiere of the film at Abravenal Hall in Salt Lake City, Utah. Hundreds of showings will follow the premiere, spanning the U.S. and Canada. Some events will feature giveaways, others will have surprise guests, all will create a sense of community most of us need through the colder, darker months of the year.
Warren Miller’s SNO-CIETY is a celebration of the spirit of winter, no matter how you connect to the snow. Smile over the ridiculous contraptions created for Dimond Peak Ski Resort’s annual Dummy Downhill event, or Mountainfest/Preston and Steve’s Cardboard Classic, both featured in the film. Get inspired by athletes who have given their lives to the slope, like Breezy Johnson, a Saalbach World Champion who hopes to add “Olympic champion” to her list of titles soon, she told Outside.
We caught up with Breezy Johnson, who captured what SNO-CIETY is about in few words: skiing as peak existence. “Racing and using 100 percent of your body, resisting forces and skiing fast, and 100 percent of your mind, to see and plan how you’re going to carry speed and continue going fast, is the feeling of being truly alive,” she shared.
SNO-CIETY follows other athletes like Daron Rahlves, Britta Winans, Judd Henkes, Sarka Panacochova, Chris Rubens, and Juho Kilkki around California, Colorado, and New Hampshire to Austria, British Columbia, Finland, Scotland, and more.
From big mountain lines in places like remote Alaska, to race gates, to Finish urban ski spots, SNO-CIETY rekindles a love for being outside through the coldest months.
Here’s where you can catch the film on tour.

Outside caught up with, Robin Van Gyn, professional snowboarder and founder of Research and Development (RnD), a backcountry freestyle event in British Columbia, to talk about its debut in SNO-CIETY. RnD was created to give female riders opportunities to push boundaries, gain exposure, and build community like the ones highlighted in the film.
“It is a community and a competition,” Gyn told Outside. “It can be two things at once if you have the right environment. In my own experience I always thrived in a fun, competitive atmosphere, and felt progression happened when I wasn’t intimidated, but rather inspired.”
Gyn is one of many incredible leaders and athletes featured in SNO-CIETY. Others include:
