Vaibhav Suryavanshi-starrer India U-19 cricket team created history against Australia U-19 cricket team and broke a 30-year-old record. The visiting team dominated the home team in all five matches and didn’t lose even one fixture. The Ayush Mhatre-led side kicked off the three-match Youth ODI series with a seven-wicket win. India registered a 51-run win in the second game. The visitors whitewashed the home team with a big 167-run win in the third game.
India kicked off the two-match Youth Test series with an innings and 58 runs win. India whitewashed Australia in both formats and won the second Youth Test by 7 wickets.
India U-19 creates history
India U-19 cricket team created history and broke a 30-year-old record. They now hold the record for winning the shortest Youth Test match to have a result. India chased down the target of 81 at the loss of 3 wickets.
The second India-Australia Youth Test lasted 886 balls. The record of winning the shortest Youth Test previously belonged to West Indies. They defeated Pakistan in 1995 in Faisalabad. The matches lasted 992 balls.
