Shehu Sani, a former federal lawmaker, has reacted to former President Goodluck Jonathan’s recent assertion that betrayers abound in Nigerian politics.
He advised young Nigerians who want to pursue careers in politics to take inspiration from Goodluck Jonathan’s path.
Jonathan has said that he was betrayed when running for reelection in 2015.
Jonathan made the remark in Benin, the Edo State capital, during the 70th birthday celebration of Chief Mike Aiyegbeni Oghiadomhe.
According to the former president, politics in the country’s standards is about betrayals.
Sani himself is not a newcomer in Nigerian politics.
He last served as the senator representing the Kaduna central district in the Nigerian Senate.
“GEJ just said that Nigerian politics is full of betrayers, liars, and traitors.
“I hope young people aspiring to join politics are listening to him and learning from his experience,” Sani wrote on X.
Jonathan is widely being tipped across Nigeria to return to politics in 2027.
