India batter Ruturaj Gaikwad will not be joining Yorkshire for the final part of the County Championship season.
The 28-year-old had agreed a five-match deal, starting with the game against reigning champions Surrey at Scarborough from 22 July.
But in a short statement, Yorkshire confirmed that he would not be playing for the team for “personal reasons”.
Gaikwad, who captains Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League and Maharashtra in the Ranji Trophy, has played six one-day internationals and 23 T20s for his country.
