Saturn Retrograde Reenters Pisces
Earlier this year, Saturn entered Aries for the first time in 26 years. This brought a shift in consciousness and a redirection of our personal and collective maturity.
But the slow-moving planet took only a single step forward in the first sign of the zodiac before taking that very same step in reverse when it went retrograde in July. It takes another reverse step this week into the final sign of the zodiac, Pisces, where it has been traveling for more than two years.
As Saturn retrograde reenters Pisces on September 1, 2025, it’s as if we are being guided back across an old threshold to finish anything that was left incomplete. Between now and its return to Aries in February 2026, we experience final moments of this multi-year transit.
Saturn supports a mastery of disciplined commitment. Pisces is a sign of mysticism, the unseen, and imagination. Saturn retrograding through Pisces invites us to bring our attention to our relationship with emotional boundaries, spiritual discipline, and our consistency in turning our dreams into reality. Ask yourself what changes you have experienced in these spaces since March of 2023 as well as what changes you’d like to experience. This is our chance for integration, resolution, and closure.
Mercury Enters Virgo
A much faster-moving planet than Saturn, Mercury enters Virgo this week on September 2, 2025, where it will remain until September 18, 2025. Wherever Mercury moves, so goes our minds, our thoughts, our perceptions, and our curiosities.
Representing all that exists within and expresses itself through the realm of the mind, Mercury is our thinking, perceiving, and communication. The earth sign of Virgo brings an emphasis on practicality, details, and refinement. Mercury in Virgo supports mental hygiene—an intentional rethinking of what exists within our minds and the words we speak from it. Whether old thought loops, perspectives that were never ours, or an inner voice that no longer comes from truth or love.
This time supports whatever allows you to express and release what no longer deserves to remain in your mind, whether through journaling, meditating, voice notes, or whatever works for you. It’s also supportive of bringing that same refinement to the practicalities of everyday life, whether our homes, clutter, commitments, habits, inner dialogue, intentions, or priorities.
Uranus Retrograde Begins in Gemini
This week Uranus begins its backward spin on September 6, 2025, joining the lineup of other retrograde planets. Similar to Saturn, Uranus retrograde will span two zodiac signs. The outer planet entered Gemini in July of this year, a sign it had not visited in more than 70 years, and will reenter Taurus in November and remains there until February 2026.
Gemini is the arena of the mind. It questions the stories, perspectives, beliefs, and mental structures we are living from and through. Uranus is awakening, change, and innovation. When retrograde, this energy turns inward. Instead of bringing vast change and evolution throughout the outer structures of our lives, it is guided within.
This is a space to bring the revolutionary and forward-thinking momentum of Uranus into the realm of the intellect. It’s a chance to review the vast changes in our lives these last few months and become aware of the quiet integration that has taken place and the shifts in perspectives that result.
