Osun State Police Command has commenced investigation into the death of one Omole Bidemi who died in her boyfriend’s house at Oke Esa in Esa-oke, Obokun Local Government of the state at the weekend.
It was gathered that Bidemi left home around 9pm on Friday and she was believed to have gone to vigil.
A source close to the lady said she usually go to vigil every Friday and she left home at the same time she usually go.
Another source said “she went to his boyfriend house, Yinka, living in Oke-Esa Street, Esa Oke. On getting to her boyfriend house, it was not later than 20 minutes that the girl was pronounced death as she was foaming from mouth.”
He explained that the incident drew attention of students and residents who thronged the area including security operatives.
The spokesperson of the police in the state, Abiodun Ojelabi, confirmed the incident to our correspondent on Sunday.
He also confirmed the arrest of Yinka, assuring that thorough investigation would be conducted on the matter.
“The death occurred on Friday. The deceased, Bidemi Omole went to her boyfriend’s house also located in Esa Oke. The boyfriend is identified as Yinka. From what the boyfriend told us, the deceased became sick after arriving the house.
“We were also told that she was rushed to a hospital but on the way, she gave up the ghost. The suspect is already with the police. Autopsy will be conducted to unravel the cause of the death. We assure of thorough investigation of the incident,” police said.
