…Says ex president was a good man
From Aidoghie Paulinus, Abuja
The Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Most Revd (Dr) Matthew Hassan Kukah, has mourned the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari, saying that the former President was a good man.
The former Secretary General of the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria, in a telephone interview with Daily Sun, urged Nigerians not to allow Buhari’s eight-year rule to overshadow his good nature.
He prayed God to grant former President Buhari eternal rest and give consolation to his family.
Kukah said: “May God grant him eternal rest and may He give consolation to his family, extend our sympathy, but all of us as a nation are mourning.
“I think President Buhari should be remembered as a good man. We shouldn’t focus on his eight years of being President of Nigeria, but as a great man who made his contributions to this country as a military officer among many other things.”
