NFL giants quaterback gave insights on his competitive nature and how losing even in Pickleball ‘ruins his whole day’
New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart shared a glimpse of his competitive spirit, revealing that his drive extends well beyond rugby. Speaking about his love for pickleball, Dart admitted that even losing a casual match in the sport would “ruin his whole day.” The rookie credited his upbringing and early coaching for that fiery mindset.
Speaking to the media, Dart said, “I think it’s how it has always been. My dad coached me really hard; it never mattered what game I played or who I played against. I just hate that losing feeling”. He added, “Even if I am playing Pickleball, if I lose, it’s going to ruin my whole day. That’s something which has been instilled in me since I was young.”
Dart’s determination has translated onto the field this NFL season. The rookie quarterback has set a single-season franchise record, registering five games with both a passing and rushing touchdown, placing him third among all rookies in league history.
Pickleball Celebrity Showdown Draws Sports Icon
While Dart’s comments made headlines, the connection to pickleball comes at the perfect time, with the Pickleball World Championship 2025 underway in Dallas, Texas.
The event’s Celebrity Pickleball Showdown has drawn major sports personalities, including NBA great Dirk Nowitzki and NFL Hall of Famer Terrell Owens, who took to the court in an exhibition blending competition, fun, and fan engagement.
Quarterfinal Action Continues in Dallas
