India have already faced Pakistan twice in the tournament previously, and both times India won comprehensively. They won by 7 wickets in the Group Stage, followed by a six-wicket win the Super Four stage.
India have been the most dominant side of the tournament so far. In fact, they have remained unbeaten throughout the tournament, and is the only side that have remained unbeaten, not losing any of the six matches in the tournament so far. Abhishek Sharma has been the show stealer for India, having scored half-centuries in the three consecutive matches of the Super Four stage.
Pakistan have been pretty inconsisent throghout the tournament, even though they have won all their matches barring the two games against India. However, even in their victories, they have not looked convincing. While their bowling has been the saving grace for them, their batting order has failed almost every time.
This is the first time that India and Pakistan will be facing each other in the Asia Cup final in the history of the tournament.
