Former NFL MVP Shaun Alexander’s family is getting bigger.
The former Seattle Seahawks running back said in a Thursday appearance on the Up & Adams Show that and his wife, Valerie, are currently expecting their 14th child.
Alexander, 48, told Adams that he and his wife have so far had 10 daughters and three sons. The couple lost one child in infancy.
Shaun and Valerie were married in 2002 following the running back’s third season with the Seahawks. Their first child, Heaven, was born in 2003.
Alexander went on to post three Pro Bowl campaigns for Seattle over the next three years, a stretch he capped off in 2005 with an MVP campaign and a trip to Super Bowl XL.
The running back has not yet been named to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, although he was one of the 128 players recently nominated to join the Class of 2026.
He told Adams he hopes to be inducted in part because he is one of 10 NFL players to have recorded 100 career rushing touchdowns.
Alexander is already a member of the Seahawks Ring of Honor, into which he was inducted in 2022.
