“I regret some of my posts about President DonaldTrump last week. They went too far,” Musk wrote.
Musk and Trump, who have always backed each other since the campaigning days of the US President, recently witnessed fallout after Musk expressed concerns against Trump’s ‘One Big Beautiful Bill’. Musk also decided to leave the DOGE department, reportedly after the fallout between the two over the Bill.
This was followed by a series of accusations between the once-close friends who shared the “Make America Great Again (MAGA)” dream.
Musk had called the major tax Bill “disgusting” and blamed it for increasing the federal deficit. Trump then accused Musk of going against him because of proposed cuts to electric vehicle subsidies. Musk denied the claim.
“If he does, he’ll have to pay the consequences for that,” Trump told NBC News in a phone interview, but declined to share what those consequences would be. “He’ll have to pay very serious consequences if he does that,” he added.
Recently, US President Donald Trump has broken his silence on reports alleging that billionaire Elon Musk used recreational drugs while advising his administration, including during visits to the White House. When asked directly on June 9 whether Musk had brought drugs into the White House, Trump said, “I really don’t know. I don’t think so. I hope not.”
Responding to the allegations, Musk posted on X: “You can tell immediately that someone is a massive liar if they’re claiming I’m on drugs, as I am one of the most photographed people on Earth and am in meetings 7 days a week!” He also noted that after his 2018 podcast appearance with Joe Rogan, he was subjected to years of random drug testing: “Not the slightest trace of drugs or alcohol was found.”
