Philadelphia Eagles wideout A.J. Brown raised some eyebrows with a cryptic post on social media following Sunday’s 31-25 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a game that saw him register just two catches for seven yards.
On Wednesday, he cleared up the matter, saying it wasn’t directed at head coach Nick Sirianni, offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo, quarterback Jalen Hurts or anybody else within the organization.
“Obviously, Sunday after the game I let my frustrations boil over. I didn’t speak to the media. … My message truly wasn’t directed at anyone in the building. Not my coaches, not my quarterback, general manager, nobody. I take full accountability.”
Brown added that he is happy in Philadelphia despite some surprisingly low usage through the first four games of the season:
