Clemson’s 35-24 home loss to SMU on Saturday will only make the voices calling for head coach Dabo Swinney’s job grow louder, but he’s unlikely to be going anywhere anytime soon.
ESPN noted that Swinney “is in the midst of a 10-year, $115 million extension and would command a $60 million buyout if the program were to make a change.” The loss to SMU extended Clemson’s losing streak against power conference teams to five straight games, the program’s longest streak since the 1970 and 1971 seasons.
