The Kansas City Chiefs have unveiled their unofficial depth chart for the 2025 regular season.
Though fans knew that star players like Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and Chris Jones would occupy starting spots at quarterback, tight end, and defensive tackle, a few notable decisions were made at other positions ahead of Kansas City’s Week 1 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Among the most surprising moves was to start veteran safeties Bryan Cook and Chamarri Conner over second-year defensive back Jaden Hicks, who put together an outstanding rookie season with the Chiefs in 2024.
Take a look at Kansas City’s full unofficial depth chart, which was posted to Twitter by Nick Jacobs of KSHB 41:
Newly acquired defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi — who was on the New York Jets’ chopping block during cut week before finding himself traded to the Chiefs — is set to start next to Jones on Kansas City’s front four.
Fans should watch how Cook, Conner, and Nnadi perform early in the season to see if they will cement their status as starters, or have their spots taken by up-and-coming talents who are currently beneath them on the Chiefs’ depth chart.
