Kansas City Chiefs star defensive tackle Chris Jones drew some criticism on social media for his apparent lack of effort when Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence scored a game-winning touchdown on Monday night, but he didn’t see any of it.

Jones told reporters on Thursday that he deactivated his social media accounts before the game against Jacksonville, not because of any criticism he received after the game. He also admitted that he should’ve shown more effort on Lawrence’s touchdown.

“It’s a teaching point. … It’s my job to finish. I’ll be better at it,” Jones said.
