Chargers Announce Big Trey Lance News Ahead of Thursday Game vs. Lions originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
The Detroit Lions and Los Angeles Chargers both made the playoffs last season, with both teams losing in the first round, ending Super Bowl dreams.
On Thursday, July 31, they will each get the opportunity to resume their respective Super Bowl marches against each other as Jim Harbaugh’s team is scheduled to play Dan Campbell’s at 8 p.m. ET. at Tom Benson Stadium in Canton, Ohio for the 2025 NFL Hall of Fame Game.
On Tuesday, big news came as the Chargers made an announcement on Harbaugh’s latest quarterback reclamation project, former first-round pick, 49ers and Cowboys signal-caller Trey Lance.
“The #Chargers will start Trey Lance at QB on Thursday night vs. the Detroit Lions in the Hall of Fame game,” reporter Ari Meirov wrote on X.
Comments were shared on Meirov’s post as one sportsbook said that Harbaugh “fixed” the former highly-touted prospect.
