The Cardinals announced some roster moves on Wednesday.
The Arizona Cardinals lost several players to injury in their game on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers. They will be without two of them for at least a month.
The team announced that cornerback Garrett Williams and defensive lineman L.J. Collier were placed on injured reserve. They must miss at least four games. Head coach Jonathan Gannon said that there is the “potential for both of them to come back this year.”
Both suffered knee injuries.
Cornerbacks Will Johnson and Max Melton also got hurt, Melton hurting his knee and Johnson injuring his groin, but they were not put on IR, although their availability for Week 3 is up in the air.
The Cardinals filled one of the two roster vacancies, signing cornerback Darren Hall from the practice squad. They also cut linebacker Elliott Brown from the practice squad and signed cornerback Ekow Boye-Doe and defensive lineman Zach Carter to the practice squad.
They have one roster spot and one practice squad spot available still, as undrafted rookie defensive lineman Elijah Simmons was signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to their active roster.
