Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford both had elaborate entrances into the ring ahead of their fight at Allegiant Stadium on Saturday night.
The ring walks for both fighters featured live performances from a mariachi band, as Canelo prepared to put his undisputed super middleweight title on the line.
Fans were impressed with the two fighters.
Crawford weighed in at a career-high 167.5 pounds to face Canelo, moving up two weight classes for the fight. He’s back in the ring for the first time since his unanimous decision win against Israil Madrimov in Aug. 2024.
Crawford’s victory over Madrimov brought his professional record to 41-0 with 31 knockouts. He’s a four-division world champion and has held titles at 135, 140 and 147 pounds.
As for Canelo, he’s also a four-division champion while boasting a 63-2-2 record with 39 knockouts across his legendary career. His only defeats have come against Floyd Mayweather in 2013 and undisputed light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol in May 2022.
Canelo most recently took down William Scull on May 3, becoming the undisputed super middleweight champion for a second time in his career. In 2021, Alvarez unified the super middleweight titles.
There’s plenty of excitement surrounding the bout featuring Canelo and Crawford, with both fighters living up to the hype with their respective ring walks.
