Each offseason, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler interviews NFL executives, coaches and scouts to have them rank the top 10 players at 11 different positions. This year, the Denver Broncos had a big group of players recognized.
Most notably, reigning Defensive Player of the Year Pat Surtain was ranked No. 1 among cornerbacks. Two other players — guard Quinn Meinerz and linebacker Dre Greenlaw — made the top ten at their respective positions.
Four Denver players were named honorable mentions and four others were listed in the “also received votes” category, including quarterback Bo Nix. That’s 11 total players who were recognized in some manner. Pretty impressive for a team that was projected to win five games last season.
Broncos Players Recognized
- QB Bo Nix (received vote)
- OL Quinn Meinerz (IOL8)
- OL Garett Bolles (received vote)
- TE Evan Engram (honorable mention)
- WR Courtland Sutton (received vote)
- DL Zach Allen (honorable mention)
- OLB Nik Bonitto (honorable mention)
- ILB Dre Greenlaw (LB9)
- CB Pat Surtain (CB1)
- DB Brandon Jones (honorable mention)
- DB Talanoa Hufanga (received vote)
If the Broncos can return to the playoffs in 2025 and make some noise in the postseason, many of the players listed above could jump into the top ten at their respective positions — and other teammates could join them on the list. Denver’s roster appears to be in good shape going into Sean Payton’s third season on the job.
