Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta expressed satisfaction with Viktor Gyökeres’ Premier League debut against Manchester United.
Riccardo Calafiori scored in the first half to help Arsenal upset their hosts 1-0.
Arteta started Gyökeres as the main centre of his attack, leaving Kai Havertz on the bench.
Although the 27-year-old failed to find the back of the net, Arteta was not concerned.
He told reporters: “Gyökeres did a lot of very good things, I’m happy.
“You can tell in our high press and in the rhythm we demand, there’s things we need to work on.
“Coming away to Manchester United and getting a win in your first game, a very good start.”
Arsenal’s next league fixture will be at home against Leeds United on Saturday.
