Jofra Archer will start his first Test match in more than four years after being named as the only change in the England team to face India in the third Test at Lord’s on Thursday.
Chris Woakes and Brydon Carse are both retained after the defeat by India at Edgbaston that squared the series 1-1, with Josh Tongue making way for Archer.
Meanwhile, fellow fast bowler Mark Wood, who has been nursing a knee injury, was seen training at Lord’s and is understood to be targeting the final Test at The Oval.
An ECB statement read: “The England Men’s selection panel has made one change to our XI to take on India at Lord’s. The series is finely poised at 1-1 following India’s 336-run victory at Edgbaston on Sunday.
