Somerset seamer Alfie Ogborne has signed a contract extension to stay at the club until the end of the 2027 season.
The 22-year-old has played in 20 matches for Somerset with the majority in List A games since making his debut in 2022.
Ogborne came through the club’s academy system and was part of the side that reached the One-Day Cup final last season.
“We’ve been really impressed by Alfie’s desire to improve every aspect of his game since joining the professional staff,” said director of cricket Andy Hurry.
“His enthusiasm and approach for the game are an example to any aspiring player.”
Ogborne, who spent two matches on loan at Kent earlier this season, played in one County Championship match this season against Hampshire in April, taking two wickets.
