Passengers on board a train travelling from Abuja to Kaduna were thrown into a state of panic on Tuesday after it derailed.
According to reports, the incident occurred along the Kaduna corridor shortly after the train departed Abuja around 11 a.m., en route to Kaduna.
One of the passengers disclosed that the scene was chaotic as people scampered for safety in fear and confusion.
As of the time of filing this report, the cause of the derailment remains a mystery, and there has been no confirmation of injuries or casualties.
It was gathered that military personnel have been deployed to the site to assist in evacuating stranded passengers.
