    From Priscilla Ediare, Ado-Ekiti

The gubernatorial aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) for the 2026 election in Ekiti State, Dr Wole Oluyede, has felicitated with Muslims in Ekiti State, Nigeria and across the world on the occasion of this year’s Eid- el Kabir celebration.

The guber aspirant, in his congratulatory message through his spokesperson, Gani Salau, on Friday, congratulated Muslim Ummah for witnessing another Eid-el Kabir celebration, noting that the festive period should not be used for  dining and wining only but to also have a sober reflection on the state of the nation and pray for the sustenance of the country as one indivisible family.

The Australian-based Medical Doctor urged Muslim faithful to use the occasion of the Sallah celebration to remember the less privileged people in the society and extend love to them as taught by the holy book.

The gubernatorial hopeful urged Muslims in Ekiti State to pray fervently for the peaceful transition of government in the 2026 election.

“As you celebrate Eid-el Kabir today, I urge you to pray fervently for the success and peaceful conduct of next year gubernatorial election and smooth transition of government in our dear State.

“I want to assure you as a religious body that I look forward to a robust relationship with you for the fruitful development of Ekiti by the special grace of God.

“I believe strongly that this state must develop and the lives of Ekiti people must change for the better and the process towards this has begun based on the official rolling out of electioneering process for the next year gubernatorial election by the electoral umpire.”

Emphasising the importance of love and peaceful coexistence, he admonished Muslims to continue to live in peace  with one another and adherents of other faiths in the state.
