Here at Shape, we love to work up a good sweat, but you know what we don’t love? Feeling sweaty. (These are different things, we promise.) After steamy Florida summer workouts and hot weather rides on the New York City subway after teaching a hot yoga class, we’re really good at sussing out the sweat-wicking clothing that makes us feel (ok, and look) great, even when the mercury rises. After all, we want to look hot, not sweaty.

From the cutest, sweat-wicking sports bras to the headbands that keep frizz at bay, these are our favorite sweatproof products for summer.

“I have this sports bra in a few colors and wear it almost every single day. It keeps me dry during my workouts and, because it’s a longline style, I can wear it as a cropped tank. It pairs just as well with a pair of denim shorts on the weekend as it does with leggings or shorts for a workout.” — Ashleigh M., VP, Commerce and certified barre and Pilates reformer instructor

“Not only is this cute summer top great at wicking sweat, it’s also a fantastic layering piece all year long. I’m a huge fan of the entire Swiftly line at lululemon, but I reach for this short-sleeved tee more than any other Swiftly in my drawer. It comes in tons of cute colors and is fabricated with mesh, which makes it super breathable. “ — Ashleigh M., VP, Commerce and certified barre and Pilates reformer instructor

    BMJL Elastic High Waisted Shorts

“I love that these Amazon shorts are affordable, but they rival the quality of higher-end activewear brands. They’re loose and airy, and have underlining to give you full coverage while stretching. Not to mention, the high-rise waistband gives me the confidence to run outdoors in just the shorts and a sports bra, so I can really prioritize keeping cool on long runs.” — Christina O., CYT, Shape Associate Editorial Director and certified yoga teacher

“This is one of my most-worn summer staples, by far! For hot girl walks, low-impact outdoor workouts, or just daily wear, it’s the easiest, breeziest piece of activewear to throw on. I love this skort because of the breathable built-in shorts and the lightweight skirt that flows over. It’s super versatile, stylish, and durable (like, really durable — considering I wore it at least 20+ times last summer).” — Michelle P., CYT, Shape Editor and hot Pilates instructor

Columbia Bora Bora II Booney Hat

“I recently moved to Florida, and I’m doing whatever I can to keep my skin protected from the sun. I love this comfy sun hat and wear it on my daily walks. It keeps my face, head, and neck shielded from the sun and has convenient vents for added breathability, which is especially helpful for power walks when I start to sweat. I also love the adjustable chin strap, which ensures it won’t blow away when it starts to get windy. I might have more stylish hats in my wardrobe, but this is by far the one I reach for the most.” — Isabella B., NASM-CPT, Shape Associate Editorial Director and certified personal trainer

Revyve Active Signature V-Sculpt Midnight/White Leggings

“These are the best leggings I own (I actually own them in four different colors!) Whether I’m teaching a 106-degree heated Pilates class or braving the sweltering NYC subways in the summertime, these breathable leggings keep me as cool and dry as possible. Plus, they’re incredibly flattering and don’t roll down, so I feel completely confident when instructing class or walking around the city. I never get more compliments from clients than I do when wearing these stylish, sweat-wicking leggings.” — Michelle P., CYT, Shape Editor and hot Pilates instructor

Amazon AFITNE Women’s High Waist Biker Shorts with Pockets

    Credit: Amazon

“These biker shorts are so cute and my go-to for summer walks. I love the length, which hits right at mid-thigh, and I love that they have pockets! The material is super soft and stretchy. Besides walks, I’ve also worn them to weight lift, and I’m pleased to report that they don’t ride up or roll down when squatting. The shorts also come in a bunch of colors and patterns at a very affordable price, so you can stock up on multiple pairs.” — Isabella B., NASM-CPT, Shape Associate Editorial Director and certified personal trainer

    D. Louise Tennis Bracelet

“I’m the type of girl who doesn’t take her jewelry off, but I’m also the type of girl who works out (in heated studios) at least four times weekly. Finding jewelry that doesn’t tarnish, but isn’t hundreds of dollars, is almost impossible. Enter: D. Louise. Specifically, this tennis bracelet that I haven’t taken off in months. It’s made with stainless steel that doesn’t tarnish or scratch easily (and I’m proof because I put mine through the ringer). It’s completely sweat- and heat-proof, and I don’t plan on taking this gorgeous bracelet off anytime soon.” — Michelle P., CYT, Shape Editor and hot Pilates instructor

CoolBlast 100 Ladies’ Colleen Long Sleeve Shirt

“Although this shirt is technically meant for horseback riding, I use it for all of my outdoor adventures on foot in the Florida heat. I love that the shirt is rated UPF 100 and has long sleeves to shield my arms from UV rays, but still feels extremely breathable and cool to the touch. The shirt has mesh panels along the sleeves that make it incredibly sweat-friendly and help me tolerate the heat a lot more so that it doesn’t prevent me from getting my steps in.” — Isabella B., NASM-CPT, Shape Associate Editorial Director and certified personal trainer
