Whenever Grace Wales Bonner and Adidas release something new, it’s appointment viewing for the sneaker world. Since 2020, the British designer—and newly appointed creative director of Hermés menswear—has been the Stripes’ most consistent collaborator. You can always rely on Wales Bonner x Adidas drops to chart new trends and generate tons of hype. This week, they’re back with their latest collection, and predictably, a bunch of the kicks are getting lots of buzz, including three tasty new spins on WB’s first original Adidas silhouette, the Karintha Lo. But there’s one sneaker in the mix that’s getting overlooked a little bit—even though it calls back to one of the most memorable Wales Bonner x Adidas shoes ever.
Back in 2024, the two brands dropped a stunner of a Samba crafted from luxurious navy blue croc-effect leather. It was everything we’ve come to expect from a Wales Bonner joint: elevated and thoughtful and subtle. This year, they’re bringing the same approach to the Superstar, another iconic Adidas silhouette that’s been getting some extra love from the brand and its collaborators as of late.
Rather than navy blue, the Superstar features a white faux croc leather upper with brown and beige accents. The three stripes are decked out in a rich chocolate brown leather, which matches an interior brown satin sockliner. The toe box and sole come in the same creamy espresso beige, all of which is finished with gold foil accents and logos across the upper and tongue. The shoe debuts as part of Wales Bonner’s full Adidas fall 2025 line, which also boasts lush velour tracksuits, knitwear, and a stunner of a leather handbag.
The Adidas x Wales Bonner Superstar is available now through select retailers, including Bloomingdale’s, for $280.
