A prominent women leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State, Chief Mrs. Uwaezu Ndukwo, popularly known as Nne Oha, has commended the former Governor of Abia State and Senator representing Abia North, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, for his unwavering commitment to both grassroots development and the growth of the APC in the state.
In a statement made available to journalists on Monday, Ndukwo described Kalu as a “detribalised leader” whose political representation continues to bring tangible dividends of democracy to communities across Abia North.
She highlighted the senator’s interventions in road construction, rural electrification, water supply through borehole projects, educational assistance, as well as women and youth empowerment programmes as clear evidence of his people-centered leadership.
“Distinguished Senator Orji Uzor Kalu is too busy delivering the dividends of democracy to his constituents. From infrastructure to empowerment, he has touched lives directly, and women in particular are proud of his inclusive style of leadership,” she said.
Ndukwo further maintained that Kalu’s political strength and relevance remain unshaken, noting that his ambition ahead of the 2027 elections is “as sure as the sky.” She argued that the APC leadership must rally behind Kalu, stressing that he remains the party’s best bet to consolidate its presence in Abia.
“He has the personality and razzmatazz needed by the people to win any election. Senator Kalu is the only politician that can stand for senatorial seat in any of the three senatorial zones in Abia State and win,” she asserted.
Reaffirming her confidence in his leadership, Ndukwo described Kalu as the most people-oriented leader Abia has produced in recent history, insisting that no distractions would derail his mission to uplift lives through quality representation and effective governance.
