Aside from being a global pop star and a budding fashion designer, Justin Bieber is also a proud Canadian. The Stratford, Ontario, native is a ride-or-die Toronto Maple Leafs fan who once partnered with Canuck coffee chain Tim Hortons to release limited-edition “Timbiebs” doughnut holes. More recently, he put up a Swag billboard on a high-traffic commuter highway in his home province. One of his biggest songs is literally called “Sorry.”
He also, as the stereotype goes, loves smoking weed.
Bieber merged several of these Canadian signifiers into a single (excellent) outfit on Monday, when the singer and his wife, Hailey, were photographed on a smoothie run in Los Angeles, which is, of course, a canonical Bieber pastime.
With a tray of four colorful beverages in hand, the musician was spotted leaving Kreation, a local juice chain, in a “O Cannabis” vintage tee that featured a graphic of the Canadian flag with its maple leaf swapped out for a pot leaf, below-the-knee dark denim shorts from the Tokyo brand Sillage, and Bottega Veneta’s woven “Squid” slippers with pale purple socks. He accessorized with a tactical camo-print bucket hat (sometimes called a “boonie”), orange-tinted wraparound shades, and his go-to gold Rolex Daytona.
Bieber’s been on a tear of great outfits as of late, but this one might just be the swaggiest.
Meanwhile, when JB is expressly not wearing shirts with Canada/weed puns, he’s posting thirst traps to show off his fitness gains on Instagram. When the Swag singer posted a series of shirtless selfies over the weekend (“👅👅 thirstrap fa u hoes,” the caption read), his wife was quick to check her husband’s ego by commenting with a single, blistering emoji: “🙄.”
