Daniil Medvedev says his US Open meltdown was a reaction to the umpire’s decision after a photographer walked on to court as he was facing match point.
Medvedev was upset his opponent Benjamin Bonzi was awarded another first serve after the incident.
Russia’s Medvedev channelled his anger to fight his way back into the first-round match but was finally beaten in five sets.
