Glamorgan men’s head coach Richard Dawson has signed a three-year contract extension to stay with the Welsh county.
Dawson was appointed coach until the end of the 2025 season in January, taking over after Grant Bradburn was sacked the previous month following a charge of misconduct that resulted in a sanction.
Under Dawson’s guidance, Glamorgan are contenders for promotion from Rothesay County Championship Division 2 to the top flight.
They lie second behind leaders Leicestershire before the competition resumes for the Welsh county with a trip to Northamptonshire on 8 September.
Glamorgan’s fortunes have also improved in the T20 Vitality Blast, although they missed out on the knockouts.
Dawson said: “I’ve enjoyed working with everyone at the club this season and look forward to continuing this work with players and coaching staff in the seasons ahead.”
