Jake Paul’s next fight is set, and it’s a big one – even if it won’t officially count.
Paul has signed on to meet, of all people, Gervonta Davis in an exhibition bout that will headline a Netflix event Nov. 15 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta. Ring Magazine broke the news Wednesday.
Paul had been in discussions to fight Anthony Joshua but, according to Ring Magazine’s Mike Coppinger, Paul vs. Davis was made after “talks for Paul to face Anthony Joshua collapsed over network issues.”
According to reports, the fight between Paul and Davis will be contested at 195 pounds, 10 rounds, 3 minutes each round. An obvious size difference will be in play as Paul’s most recent fight took place at 200 pounds, while Davis is a lightweight champion at 135.
More to come.
