This non-invasive device uses a proprietary technology called SUPERB™ (Synchronous Ultrasound Parallel Beam) to deliver ultrasound energy to the mid-dermis, the layer of skin where collagen production occurs, without damaging the outer layer. That means minimal discomfort and downtime, and tighter, more taut skin. Shape editors recommend it to lift the skin around the eyebrows, skin under the chin, or to smooth lines on the neck. Mani, who specializes in minimally-invasive endoscopic facelifts on A-list actors, is a fan. He calls Sofwave a “hugely popular adjunct to his work.”

Daxxify is a peptide-powered, botulinum toxin type A injectable, a type of neuromodulator that uses peptide exchange technology, which stabilizes the botulinum toxin. This means that the results typically last longer than other botulinum toxins in this category. Shape editors love it for stubborn frown lines that can be deeply furrowed in the skin—think horizontal forehead folds. Patients can typically expect results to last up to six months, which can reduce treatments to bi-annually.

Morpheus8 takes microneedling and dials it up a notch with radiofrequency to make the results more powerful. It’s considered a “subdermal adipose remodeling device” (SARD). The treatment uses a hand-held device with tiny, gold-plated microneedles that penetrate the skin. The physical punctures from the needles trigger the body’s natural healing response, stimulating the production of new collagen and elastin, tightening the skin and making it more elastic and bouncy. It targets the deeper layers of the skin, and can even melt small amounts of fat, leading to a more contoured and sculpted appearance. It’s not the most comfortable treatment, (we are talking microneedles) but we think the results are definitely worth it.
