President Bola Tinubu has expressed immense pride in Nigeria’s Super Falcons following their remarkable victory over South Africa in the semi-finals of the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

In a congratulatory message posted on his official X account, @officialABAT, President Tinubu lauded the team’s performance as “nothing short of superlative,” attributing their success to grit, talent, and the “indomitable Nigerian spirit.”

“You have made the nation proud. Keep soaring. Don’t stop until you bring the trophy home. Go for our 10th title,” President Tinubu wrote, urging the Falcons to push forward to secure another championship for Nigeria.

He further highlighted the collective support of Nigerians worldwide, adding, “We are waiting to receive the cup.”

The Super Falcons, aiming for their 10th WAFCON title, delivered a resilient performance to overcome South Africa and secure a place in the final, reinforcing their legacy as one of Africa’s most successful women’s football teams.
