Aston Villa have signed Netherlands midfielder Jill Baijings on a permanent deal for an undisclosed fee.

The 24-year-old joins from Bayern Munich, having spent last season on loan at Villa.

She has eight caps for the Netherlands and played for Heerenveen, SGS Essen and Bayer Leverkusen before joining Bayern in 2023.

She made 15 appearances in all competitions for Villa last season, scoring once.

Baijings becomes Villa’s third signing of the summer after the arrivals of Netherlands defender Lynn Wilms and England goalkeeper Ellie Roebuck.
