Andrew Tate Eyes UFC Debut at Donald Trump’s Proposed Historic White House Event: ‘Call Me, Dana White!’ originally appeared on Athlon Sports.

United States President Donald Trump recently announced he would work on hosting a UFC event that takes place on the White House grounds in 2026. The event, intended to celebrate the country’s 250th independence anniversary, has already drawn attention from UFC stars like Jon Jones and Conor McGregor.

Now, even controversial internet personality and former kickboxing champion Andrew Tate has thrown his hat into the UFC ring.

Tate took to X (formerly Twitter) and posted his reaction to Trump’s supposed plan, expressing his interest in joining the historic card with the declaration, “I’ll fight. Call me Dana White.”

The 38-year-old Tate, a four-time kickboxing world champion, retired from combat sports in 2014 but has maintained visibility through viral training clips and polarizing rhetoric.

His recent appearances at UFC 313 and Power Slap events, alongside brother Tristan, fueled speculation about a fighting comeback. However, his lack of recent competitive action and zero professional MMA fights since 2010 are evidence enough that Tate is not suited at all for UFC-level competition.

UFC fans across the board seem to believe this is the case as well. They responded to a post sharing news of Tate’s interest in the combat sports social media community, Championship Rounds:

“It would bring me great joy to see him get f— up.”

“Wouldn’t pass the testing pool. There isn’t anyone at his weight in the UFC that is so low-level to make it competitive.”

“His loser fanbase doesn’t watch combat sports to begin with. They get triggered seeing better men than themselves doing stuff they wish they could do. Ask any Tate fan which of his kickboxing matches is their favorite. They can’t answer.”

“He wants to continue the streak of embarrassment his brother started— tapping out to some sloppy, weak ground-and-pound!”

“I know Tate has very good kickboxing… but he’d 100% get wiped by a well-rounded fighter 2 weight classes lower than him lmao”

“Tate isn’t fighting. Bro will literally say anything to ‘engagement farm.’”

“Based on the sparring I’ve seen, he wouldn’t last a round against a UFC fighter.”

UFC President Dana White, a longtime Trump ally, has yet to respond to Tate’s callout. White’s past camaraderie with Tate, including a warm greeting at UFC 313, suggests the door isn’t entirely closed.

Tate’s social media notoriety could possibly boost pay-per-view sales, but his legal troubles, including ongoing human trafficking and rape charges in Romania and the UK, may complicate any deal.

Tate’s UFC ambitions seem more about leveraging his brand than participating in serious competition. The odds of him thriving in today’s MMA landscape are slim.
