What will the Boston Celtics do at center for the coming 2025-26 NBA season? The Celtics elected to trade away Latvian big man Kristaps Porzingis as part of their moves to get under the league’s second apron status and all the team building barriers the collective bargaining agreement (CBA) creates early in the 2025 offseason.
Then they saw key backup big Luke Kornet depart to the San Antonio Spurs in free agency soon after, and it seems increasingly likely that veteran forward Al Horford will leave the team in free agency for the Golden State Warriors as well. That leaves only Neemias Queta and Xavier Tillman Sr. as experienced Celtics frontcourt players, with centers Luka Garza and Amari Williams the only other two big men on the team.
The hosts of the CLNS Media “How Bout Them Celtics!” podcast, Jack Simone and Sam LaFrance, took some time on a recent episode of their show to talk it over. Check it out below!
