We may still be a few days out from the holiday itself, but the Fourth of July deals have kicked into high gear. To start the party, Evo has launched its big summer sale and loaded it with savings of up to 50 percent on bikes, ski and snowboard gear, apparel, and more.

We love a good sale, especially one that offers steep discounts on expensive hardgoods. Evo’s includes markdowns on complete Santa Cruz bicycles, Atomic skis, Lib Tech snowboards, Smith sunglasses, and more of our favorite (but pricey) gear. If you play your cards right, you could save up to $1,000 on a single item.

To save you some time, we handpicked a dozen editor-approved items that are great bang for the buck.

If you buy through our links, we may earn an affiliate commission. This supports our mission to get more people active and outside. Learn more.

Helly Hansen Swift Stretch Jacket for $298 ($425)

Ironically, summer is often the best time to buy winter gear (as you’ll continue to see throughout this list of products). At more than $100 off, the Swift Stretch Jacket is a smart summer buy. You might not need it until the first snow flies, but you’ll be glad to have this jacket in your closet when it’s time to hit the slopes. .

Five Ten Trailcross XT MTB Shoes for $96 ($160)

If your mountain bike is yourvehicle for adventure, the Five Ten Trailcross XT is the shoe for you. Unlike most bike shoes, these are actually designed for walking, scrambling, and hiking (along with mountain biking, of course). So if you find yourself making frequent pit stops along the trail to take some photos or hunt for some mushrooms, this is your shoe.

Patagonia Retro Pile Jacket for $104 ($149)

A discounted Patagonia jacket that is still available in sizes S-XL is a unicorn. Now’s the time to buy without hesitation—you won’t find a better fleece, especially at a discount. The Retro Pile is a great midlayer  for winter, but it’s more versatile than that: it’s perfect for crisp summer evenings in the mountains and will be a shoulder season workhorse come fall.

Evo Enduro Hip Pack for $45 ($60)

We’ve lost track whether fannys are in or not these days, but let’s be honest—everyone needs a good hip pack. An adjustable waist, ample and generous pockets, and breathable mesh backpanel make this more than your mom’s fanny pack from the 90s.

Smith Attack MAG for $165 ($275)

Smith is one of the most trusted brands in eyewear, and for good reason. Their lens quality and frame designs are usually a step above the competition. The Attack MAG is made specifically for mountain biking, featuring vents to maximize airflow and an oversized lens to protect the eyes from dust and debris. The magnetic lens swapping system lets you change out your lenses in a jiffy, so don’t forget to pick up some clear lenses to swap into.

Smith 4D MAG XL Goggles for $204 ($340)

We’re big fans of Smith goggles too, though their price tags can be hard to swallow. But if you can score them on sale, we say go for it. The 4D MAG uses the brand’s signature ChromaPop lens technology to boost clarity and contrast in varying light conditions. And if conditions change drastically on the hill, you can use the slick magnetic lens system to swap out lenses on the fly.

Salomon Dialogue Dual BOA Snowboard Boots for $287 ($410)

The Salomon Dialogue Dual BOA is a workhorse of a snowboard boot that can do everything on the mountain. The BOA system makes dialing in your fit a cinch, , especially once you’ve had the heat-moldable liner customized to your foot, and the Dialogue-exclusive heel cage prevents heel lift.

Specialized Ambush 2 MIPS Bike Helmet for $120 ($180)

Keeping the noggin protected is a priority, and the Ambush 2 mountain bike helmet is up to the task. It features MIPS technology to help protect the brain against impact forces in the case of a crash and purpose-built ventilation that allows for ample airflow when the climbs get sweaty.

Smith Vantage Snow Helmet for $220 ($275)

Much like when biking, a helmet is non-negotiable when skiing or snowboarding. The Smith Vantage has MIPS tech built in, uses a BOA system for dialing in t fit, and adjustable ventilation that you can tailor to your needs.

Atomic Hawx Ultra 100 GW Ski Boots for $350 ($500)

The Hawx Ultra 100 GW is a great choice for beginner and intermediate skiers looking to take their skills to the next level on the mountain. The boots have moderate 100-flex for all-mountain comfort and performance, and a heat-moldable linerthat ensures the perfect fit.

Lib Tech T.Rice Orca Snowboard for $490 ($700)

Designed to tackle everything from powder days to park sessions, the T.Rice Orca has all of the little details dialed in. The nose is long and floaty, perfect for bluebird mornings and the tail has more than enough pop to take on the trickiest of park days.

    Atomic Bent 110 Skis for $525 ($750)

Much like the Lib Tech board above, these skis are all-mountain crushers that will take you from the powder to the park without any trouble. A perennial best seller, the Bent 110 features a Goldilocks combo of powder and park while also being set up for a spur-of-the-moment touring adventure.
