Nigerian entrepreneur Bukky Asehinde, founder of Bellafricana and CEO of TALES Global, has secured the official support of Westminster City Council for her program showcasing African creativity in the diaspora. This endorsement marks a pivotal moment for African creative entrepreneurs and the diaspora in the UK.

Asehinde highlighted the historic nature of this collaboration, stating, “This endorsement sends a clear message: African creativity belongs in the centre of global cultural conversations, and TALES by Bellafricana is leading that narrative.”

With support from both the City of Westminster and the New West End Company, TALES 2025 is set to transform Oxford Street, one of London’s most iconic districts. This collaboration will ensure visibility for TALES across major UK marketing channels including Oxford Street’s official website, reflecting the West End’s evolution into a vibrant hub that champions global creativity and cross-cultural celebration.

“This summer, London’s iconic West End will transform into a vibrant celebration of African excellence as TALES (The African Lifestyle Experience) returns with its most ambitious luxury showcase yet, Reimagine, Rediscover, Re-Source 2025,” Asehinde announced.

“Reimagine 2025” promises 10 days of curated experiences, fashion-forward storytelling, and cultural flair. The event will feature over 70 curated brands spanning fashion, beauty, art, music, and home décor, spotlighting the brightest creative talents from Africa and the diaspora.

She emphasized that TALES is more than just a marketplace; it is “a cultural movement. This is about re-sourcing the roots of our creativity and reimagining how the world engages with African craftsmanship.”

Attendees at TALES 2025 can expect to discover over 70 cutting-edge African brands, showcasing one-of-a-kind pieces from bold fashion in traditional textiles like Aso Oke, Adinkra, and Bantu, to luxurious handmade beauty products and bespoke interiors. Each product, Asehinde noted, tells “a story of heritage, reinvention, and excellence.”

The event will also feature intimate “fireside chats” with industry icons, offering honest conversations with trailblazers and tastemakers to explore the future of African entrepreneurship, culture, and design. A standout feature, ‘Kidpreneur x The Veteran’, will return, spotlighting rising Gen Z entrepreneurs like Oreofe alongside industry legends such as Gloria Ije Anyaehie-Coker, founder of GIA1 Fashion, bridging generations of innovation.

Further enhancing accessibility, TALES is partnering with Nigerian airline Air Peace to offer a 15% flight base fare discount for brands and attendees flying to London, fostering greater connectivity within the diaspora through creativity.

Backed by Bellafricana, a platform empowering African creative entrepreneurs across 18+ countries, TALES is dedicated to championing authentic African stories, craftsmanship, and visibility on the world stage.
