The reason behind Trump’s urgent post on Truth Social remains unclear. Although Israel has been carrying out strikes in Tehran since Thursday night, the US has so far refrained from participating in the operation.
The message comes as tensions in the region continue to rise, with growing concerns over the potential for further violence and the broader implications for global security.
Trump’s post came after Israeli forces issued an evacuation order for a large area of Tehran on Monday, warning residents of an imminent bombing targeting “military infrastructure,” according to a social media announcement.
Status Of The Israel-Iran Conflict
The Israel-Iran armed conflict entered its fourth day on Monday, with both sides launching air strikes at each other. Israel has so far targeted nuclear facilities in Iran, as well as high-level government infrastructure and high-ranking officials of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. In response, Iran has also launched an unrelenting ballistic missile attack on major Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv.
So far, there has been no development in the peace talks aimed at ending the conflict.
