Inter Miami qualified for the Club World Cup 2024 on the basis of being the representative of the host nation USA. They qualified by winning the 2024 MLS Supporters’ Shield. Al-Ahly on the other hand, qualified because of winning the 2020-21, 2022-23 and 2023-24 CAF Champions Leagues. They are one of the four teams from Africa competing in the event.
