Sometimes it’s all you can do to type “yoga” into the YouTube search bar and hope for the best. That usually means clicking on the first 10- or 15-minute practice you see before you waste too much time scrolling and have to abandon your mid-day practice altogether.

    We get it.

But it can be exponentially more rewarding—and less time-consuming—to explore specific yoga YouTube channels that offer the exact types of practices you’re seeking. Finding a channel you vibe with saves you time searching for a practice you’ll connect with and allows you to benefit from the sense of (online) community that comes from following a creator over time.

7 of the Most Popular Yoga YouTube Channels

Each of the following channels places their unique spin on yoga content—and has a massive follower in support of their individual styles.

Pro tip: Turn to the comments sections of their videos to learn what, specifically, others appreciate about the instructor and their practice.

    1. Yoga With Bird

“You are worthy of feeling your best” is a line from Yoga With Bird’s channel description—which are probably words we all need to hear before, during, and after yoga class. Bird’s practice videos support this sentiment.

Her calming presence is a welcome reprieve from the world, as are her relaxing and sometimes unconventional music selections. For instance, this 20 minute full-body stretch is accompanied by a smooth-jazzy soundtrack. Whether you’re looking for a practice to support a particular part of your body (hips, back, or shoulders); or you want to channel a specific feeling (serenity, stress relief, or energy), you’ll likely find a practice in Bird’s extensive collection.

Longtime fans express their appreciation for Bird’s videos in the comments, saying they feel “calmed,” “relaxed,” and “soothed” as a result of practicing.

    2. Charlie Follows

“A signature playful style of vinyasa flow” is what Charlie Follows specializes in, with videos that target new and experienced yoga students alike. Charlie’s channel offers everything from a beginner series to advanced sequences that build up to challenging postures such as Eka Pada Koundinyasana, so there’s something for everyone.

Anatomy-specific cues help you become more aware of which muscles help you come into specific poses. And Charlie’s videos are rarely without a majestic outdoors landscape in the background—mountains, ocean, or woods. They typically don’t include music, which is a nice change of pace if you prefer silence or the subtle sounds of nature while you practice.

    3. Cosmic Kids Yoga

In each of these short “yoga stories,” enthusiastic creator Jaime Amor guides kids (and, likely, the adults that practice with them) through whimsical adventures in far-away places—underwater, on safari, or by a lagoon—with the help of animated child friends and a rotating cast of cartoon animals.

Those cartoon animals come in handy as they show up to help educate kids on their namesake pose—for instance, a pink flamingo stops by as Jaime demonstrates Flamingo Pose; and a dragonfly crosses the screen before she cues Dragonfly Pose. The sights, sounds, and stories are certainly kid-friendly—perhaps especially so for high-energy kids.

    4. Xuan Lan Yoga

Encouraging people to establish a sustainable yoga routine—without needing to go to the gym or studio—is the ethos behind Xuan Lan’s yoga YouTube channel. Based on comments, subscribers have reaped that exact benefit from the practices on this Spanish-speaking platform. (Some practice videos also offer dubbing in English.)

Xuan Lan offers more physically intense practices, such as this Mindful Fitness Training, as well as gentler sequences, including this Restorative Practice for Stress and Anxiety, which begins with “body shaking” before settling into supported postures.

Interspersed among the practice videos on this yoga YouTube channel are Xuan Lan’s interviews with various figures on different wellness practices—with conversations ranging from biodynamic cooking to finding fulfillment.

    5. Satvic Yoga

Subah and Harshvardhan Saraf founded Satvic Movement in 2017 as “a holistic health education platform.” The couple’s yoga Youtube channel, Satvic Yoga, is an extension of this and intends to share practices that aim to help people feel their best physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Yoga for stress relief, chakra activation, and a fully-body stretch are among Satvic Yoga’s online class offerings. You can also explore their pranayama (breathwork) practices for increased energy and their meditations for stress release or overthinking.

    6. Yoga With Kassandra

Kassandra explains that she started practicing yoga to quiet her anxious thoughts and improve her flexibility. Not long after becoming a teacher, she began her YouTube channel to help others do the same.

Her dedicated audience appreciate Kassandra’s calm demeanor and clear instructions, as well as the fact that she offers a ton of options and themes, including practices for beginners, 30-day challenges, yoga for your zodiac sign, and seasonal practices.

And her subscribers let you know in the comments which practices they return to again and again—in some cases, over the course of years.

    7. Yoga With Adriene

A YouTube channel that has long been a mainstay for literally millions of at-home yoga practitioners is Yoga With Adriene. The channel’s namesake, Adriene Mischler, has made her signature saying, “find what feels good,” an affirmation for students on and off the mat.

Subscribers are also drawn to Adriene’s grounded presence and quirky sense of humor (check out this Yoga for Lizards practice). Others love her very doable 15-minute videos—the perfect length for that mid-day yoga break. If you prefer a quieter practice, you might appreciate that Adriene’s videos include no background music. And if you love dogs, you’ll definitely appreciate the near-constant presence of her furry companion, Benji, near her mat.

Commenters who detail having struggled with their mental or physical health vouch for Adriene’s practices as much-needed rituals that sustain their overall sense of balance.
