Some of the coolest, comfiest sneakers at the moment are from On, the Swiss running brand famous for its shoes’ chunky, perforated soles. They’re so cool, in fact, that it’s not unheard of for certain styles, sizes, and colorways to sell out unexpectedly. Lucky for us, there are some exceptional On Cloud dupes out there—you just need to know where to look.

To save you some time, we scrolled through the internet and selected the best options from brands like Nike, Merrell, Skechers, and more. Shop our favorite lookalikes below.

    Our top picks

    1. Avia Athletic Light Runner Shoes, $27
    2. Skechers Slip-ins Glide-Step Pro, $103
    3. Nike Ryx 365 2, $90
    4. Merrell SpeedARC Matis, $180
    5. Easy Spirit Denise Austin Reese EMOVE Sneakers, $99
    6. Skechers Slip-ins Max Cushioning Glide-Step, $114
    7. Cole Haan GrandPrø Tennis Sneakers, $140

Stay On top of the trends with these pairs.

    Avia Athletic Light Runner Shoes

    Avia

    Athletic Light Runner Shoes

Here’s the dupe that set sneakerhead TikTok aflame—and for a good reason. Where most pairs of legit Ons cost $160 (if not more), these Avias clock in at $27. Their punched-out soles are dead ringers for On’s famous CloudTec outsoles, and they come in similarly trendy colorways. You can expect a comfy ride too, thanks to the memory foam insoles inside.

Looking for more running shoe bargains? The brand also makes a pretty obvious Hoka dupe for around $30.

Sizes: US 6 to 11 | Widths: Medium and wide

    Skechers Slip-ins Glide-Step Pro

    Skechers

    Slip-ins Glide-Step Pro

If they’re good enough for Martha Stewart, they’re good enough for us. The Glide-Step Pro is one of Skechers’s best-selling slip-on sneakers, with elastic laces that stretch when you step into the shoe, then snap back into place to keep your foot secure. It’s reminiscent of On’s sporty Speed Laces, which don’t require tying and create the same sort of easy on-and-off experience.

These sneaks also have lookalike soles. They’re designed to encourage the natural heel-toe movement of your foot, so your strides stay steady and smooth.

Sizes: US 5 to 11 | Widths: Medium and wide

    Nike Ryx 365 2

Big fan of On’s holey soles? Consider Nike’s Ryx 365. The cut-outs under the heel give the shoe a cushy, airy feel, while its grooved bottom adds flexibility through the forefoot. While the Ryx 365 definitely echoes some of On’s most distinctive design elements, it’s still its own shoe (and arguably has more in common with Nike’s Huarache). If you already have a pair of Ons and want a complementary style, this is an excellent choice.

Sizes: US 5 to 12 | Widths: Medium

    Merrell SpeedARC Matis

Merrell’s getting into the max cushion game with this pillowy hiking shoe, which has a layered midsole that subtly nods to On’s iconic designs. It resembles the trail-ready On Cloudaway, with an efficient toggle lacing system and a slightly curved sole to keep you moving.

However, at $180, the SpeedARC Matis isn’t exactly a budget-friendly dupe for similarly-priced On Cloud shoes. It’s more of an aesthetic cousin to On, with Merrell’s time-tested fit and tech to back it up—and we’d say that’s worth the investment.

Sizes: US 5 to 11 | Widths: Medium

Easy Spirit Denise Austin Reese EMOVE Sneakers

    Easy Spirit

    Denise Austin Reese EMOVE Sneakers

With stretchy laces, a flexible sole, and cut-outs that run the length of the shoe, these Easy Spirit slip-on sneakers clearly echo On’s most-loved designs. But they’re not just worth a try for their doppelganger status—the Reese Emove Sneakers also have great arch support and lots of width options. On’s sizing tends to run small and narrow, so if you have wide feet, these are a top-notch alternative.

Sizes: US 5 to 12 | Widths: Narrow, medium, and wide

    Skechers Slip-ins Max Cushioning Glide-Step

    Skechers

    Slip-ins Max Cushioning Glide-Step

Where Skechers’s standard Glide-Step sneaker mirrors lower-profile On Cloud sneakers, this max-cushioned version reminds us of the plush Cloudsurfer. It has slim midsole perforations, a rocker sole, and a bouncy ride, making it perfect for jogs around the neighborhood. Plus, thanks to its mesh upper and breathable insole, it’s light and breezy enough for anyone with sweaty feet.

Sizes: US 5 to 11 | Widths: Medium and wide

    Cole Haan GrandPrø Tennis Sneakers

    Cole Haan

    GrandPrø Tennis Sneakers

On’s tennis styles are big with the court sport crowd, as well as anyone who knows a good work sneaker when they see one. If you count yourself among either group, we have the exact dupe for you: Cole Haan’s GrandPrø Tennis Sneakers. They’re clean, minimal, and should pair nicely with anything in your closet. They’re also no slouches in terms of performance: Their grippy, flexible soles and lightweight yet responsive cushioning help you stay light on your feet all match long.

Sizes: US 5 to 11 | Widths: Medium and wide
